Children and grandchildren of deceased members are not eligible.

Criteria - In awarding scholarships, the Scholarship Fund Application Committee may consider any or all of the following: prior academic performance; S.A.T. scores; extracurricular activities; letters of recommendation; character, personal statement or interview.

Statement of Non-Discrimination - The awarding of scholarships shall be non-discriminatory, and shall be made without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual preference, age or physical handicap.

Application Procedure - Applications for scholarships shall be made on forms and in accordance with the procedures developed by the Application Committee. With the exception of the initial two scholarships, it is anticipated that notices inviting applications will be made in the fall, and that all applications should be completed by April 15th of the next year. Scholarships will be awarded after a student has been accepted to a school, but in no event later than the August 1st preceding the academic year to which the scholarship pertains.

Suspension, Expulsion, etc. - If a Recipient of a scholarship is suspended, expelled or otherwise terminated from the college, voluntarily or involuntarily, during an academic year, any scholarship provided will be revoked as of the first day after termination, and the Trustees shall inform the Recipient and the college in writing of such revocation.

Article III
EXPENSES AND PAYMENTS
Qualifying Expenses - Scholarships will be awarded only for tuition, books, educational supplies, fees, room and board.

Payment - Scholarship payments will be made directly to the institution providing education or education related services to the Recipient. Scholarship amounts will not be paid to the Recipient.

A Recipient will be required to furnish to the Scholarship Fund an annual summary of his/her activities at the College or University, and will be required to submit official, verified copies of grade reports, academic credit hours and other reports as the Trustees deem appropriate within 30 days after such reports become available. For example, at the close of each semester the Recipient shall send to the Trustees a verified, official transcript of his/her grades and courses taken for that academic period. Recipients will be required to maintain at least a B-average each semester, and must maintain full-time student status. If a Recipient fails to furnish the required reports, or if the Trustees become concerned with the authenticity and/or frequency of such reports, the Trustees shall immediately suspend all payments to the Recipient, investigate the Trustees concerns, and take any other appropriate action.

Article V
